Jonathan Taverner is a carpenter, joiner, and furniture-maker, based in Wiltshire, and working in locations throughout the South-West. Jonathan studied at the London College of Furniture between 1986 and 1991 to gain a diploma in Furniture Studies and an honours degree in Furniture Manufacture & Innovation.

Since then he has continued to develop his skills and knowledge of furniture making, joinery and carpentry, undertaking a diverse range of commission based projects.

An exploration of both traditional and contemporary methods of construction, complemented by a particular interest in green woodworking techniques, inspires Jonathan to create unique items that are carefully crafted to reflect an appreciation for the nature of the materials that have been chosen.

Each commission is the outcome of the clients specific requirements and a creative dialogue between both parties. Jonathan is happy to be guided and challenged by this process, to generate potential design ideas and construct original bespoke pieces.
